Annual August Speech Spotlight

Each year, CTSA hosts an in-person speech contest for students to give creative speeches or slam poems regarding pressing community issues. There will be food, snacks, and drinks provided. There, as always, will be at least 3 judges: in the past we've had seasoned CT debate league judges, authors, poets, student leaders, and experts working with the government. You can pre-register on the Speech Spotlight Sign-Up page while we get out more information.

Networking Workshop

TBA [October]

We will be hosting a free, in-person event for high school students across the state to connect and collaborate with one another. Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided.

The event will begin with a short workshop designed to help students introduce themselves and learn how to deliver concise yet effective pitches. Following the workshop, students will share a meal with fellow attendees and present pitches about their personal passion projects. This will give student leaders the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, find potential collaborators, and build partnerships to bring their ideas to life.
