On Inclusivity & Acceptance

A hug can mean the whole world to someone.

Perhaps it sounds silly, but I noticed something at the March Leaders of Tomorrow conference that we should all be more aware of.

At the conference, groups of students worked together to form ideas and speeches. I was taking pictures at the event. As I came across this group of boys, I asked them to get closer together. One boy moved himself to the back, and the other three were hugging.

Suddenly, the other boys pulled him in. It was heartwarming: if kids can accept each other, even if they have just met, why can't the rest of the world? You can see them all so genuinely happy together.

Something to learn from young people.
